I originally bought 2 Arrondi towel bars and a robe hook a few years ago and when I repainted my bathroom my wife requested a second robe hook, hence this review. As an aside, I thought I'd lost the little metal brackets that hold the towel bars on the wall so I phoned customer service to see if they could help. They immediately said I had to buy a new towel bar which seemed unhelpful as I just needed the 2 tiny brackets that must cost pennies to make. Anyway, luckily I found my brackets.On to the installation, I located a stud for the robe hook and made the pilot hole as per the instructions. I used a normal, manual screwdriver to screw in the first screw and, before the screw was even tight, the screw head came straight of the screw leaving the screw thread completely inside the wall! There was no way I could remove the headless screw but I was able to reposition the mounting bracket and attach to the wall with my own screws.The hook itself is held on the bracket with a tiny screw at the base of the hook which is designed to be tightened with a tiny allen key which is supplied. It's fiddly but, fair enough, it is neat and almost invisible. However when using the allen key to tighten the hook onto the wall it simply did not tighten, the hook remained loose. This brought back a vague memory from when I attached the first hook and, sure enough, it was loose too. The problem is that the supplied allen wrench isn't quite big enough and it slips in the screw as it starts to tighten. Luckily I had a different wrench which was the correct size and the hook tightened perfectly on the wall. Note, this is not as much of a problem with the towel bars because they are attached to the wall at 2 points so a half tight mounting is good enough but for the robe hook it's a problem.So, in summary, the bars and hook look fairly nice, they're a bit expensive and the mounting hardware is substandard. You will need to be use your own screws and allen key and hope you don't need customer support!Oh Amazon reviewers, why did I doubt you? Sooooo many of you mentioned that the template was “off,” but I did not listen. I sort of placed the bar against the template and thought either (1) that those people had an older model with a bad template or (2) that I was smarter than everyone else. Uhhh, no. Just as many, many people said, the template and the bar did not match. Luckily, my husband is a he-man with a lot of tools (specifically some big woodworking clamps and a rubber mallet) and he was able to get the bar onto the brackets using brute force.That said, I love this towel bar. It is the only one that does not look like a bath towel bar or a cheap piece of metal. It goes perfectly with the arched handles of my KitchenAid appliances. Since it looks so nice, I’m ordering a second one for another spot in the kitchen. But I’ll take a little more time when I install it.I like this towel bar a lot. As other reviewers have noted this is a hard size to find in stores. This one came with drywall anchors so it feels solid on the wall (for all my heavy hand towels!).My only complaint is that it was difficult for me to install. It took a surprisingly long time to get the bar set on the base that is screwed into the wall. It could just be me... I've installed a few things, but am not a pro by any means. But the template that came with it fit well, and overall the product was high quality. I did eventually get the item installed, so I assume my problems were just user error or me trying to do it from an awkward angle.Overall good product at a good price. I'd recommend it, even with my installation issues.This is a sturdy and attractive towel bar. I am overall happy with it, however there were some darker areas on it that I don't think will come off. They aren't very noticeable, but I still would prefer a perfect part. USE THE TEMPLATE WITH CAUTION -it will probably steer your wrong and your spacing will likely be off. You could just measure 9" and make two level marks on the wall, then measure where the other two holes go. Lastly, the fitting is pretty sensitive and did not go on perfectly flush with the wall (probably due to slightly being off), but it looks fine.a short towel rack is hard to find, so I was very happy when I came across this one. I was disappointed that the template was off a fraction of an inch. I had read other reviews before purchasing this item and saw a few complaints about that issue. I was hoping mine would be correct, but it wasn't. I just took the difference into consideration when using the template and got it mounted on the wall just fine. I want to thank the other reviewers for their insight so I was prepared for this template problem. That is why I gave it a 4 star rating instead of a 5. Otherwise it is a great towel rack for a small space.Using these hooks as towel hooks next to our shower and bath. We have chrome bath/faucet fixtures but champagne gold lighting and cabinet hardware, so this helps continue the mixed metals. Our cabinet hardware is this same brand/color so they match, and it is close enough to our capital lighting soft gold fixture. The hooks work well with our Turkish towels and look good on the wall. I used toggle bolts instead of the included bolts. The tiny Allen wrench is hard to use but it just takes time.Looks good, happy with. Do not expect this to match polished brass fixtures (see photo where I compared it to a polished brass faucet). The color is not a bright glossy yellow gold; it is a brushed/frosted bronze. This towel ring does match the Amerock Arrondi golden champagne toilet paper holder (see photo) and drawer pulls. Criticism: The included Allen wrench was too small to tighten the screw in the final step; I had to use a slightly larger Allen wrench from my collection.The size is just what I wanted. It's compact for a facecloth. It is brushed bronze, and I would have really liked it if it was shiny, as my other accessories. In saying that, it does not look out of place, so I am happy with it. The only fault is the screws are so tiny, and underneath, so I really couldn't see what I was doing when tightening it on the wall. I finally gave up and turned it upside down so I could tighten the screws easier. You really can't tell it is upside down, unless you look at it really closely. I have it a year now, and the finish is in perfect condition. I gave it a 4 star rating because of the difficulty with the tiny screws.This looks really nice in person. I ordered it because it was the right size (9") and the price was great (I paid $12.00 on Amazon Prime!), figuring it would be mostly covered up so I wasn't going to worry about the color (which was not my first choice). I actually can't believe this was so cheap because it is a solid, quality product, and the color is really nice - not brassy, not gold (it's hard to tell from the picture). I got it for a dish towel rack for my kitchen, and the color is very similar in tone to my butcherblock island top. I'm very happy with my purchase!Beautiful design, defective product. Followed instructions, however the bar was not properly aligned. The internal screw was not square, setting the bar not at the 90degree angle but slanted. Bad quality control. The machinist just made a slight mistake. To correct the problem had to reset the wall attachment piece at a slanted angle to compensate for the error in manufacturing. I have a second holder which went on as per instructions with no problem.Appears to be made of great quality. I could not tell from the pix when ordering that the bar has a slight curve to it. Doesn't exactly match our cabinet pulls as a result, but kept it cuz it's still nice.El color es mate muy bonito, se ve elegante y de muy buena calidad.
