I was skeptical at first because it didn't stay up on the wall until I realized that my tiles weren't flat, they were subtly scalloped. So I just used the included mounting disk. The mounting disk adhered to the wall, the soap dish stuck to that, and it has been on my wall without falling for several weeks straight now.I have the shower hose n really works holder and liked it so well that I bought this, after trying other soap holders. This one really works. reat company.perfecto igual en la foto fácil de instalarTHIS IS AN UPDATE TO ORIGINAL REVIEW: I did install as directed without the disks, but on the first day the soap dish and the toothbrush holder both started falling off the wall within 6 hours, I would clean again with alcohol, replace or relocate and retighten but they did keep falling off about every 4 – 6 hours. I was so upset because I really like themI contacted the seller and they offered full refund but I LIKED THE ITEM SO MUCH I DECIDED TO TRY THE 3M INSTALLATION DISK THAT CAME WITH THE SOAPDISH before I returned item, I am so glad I did! I watched the video, cleaned the wall, decided exactly where I wanted it, installed the disk , waited 12 hours as directed then attached the soap dish on Dec. 21. it is now Dec. 30 and I have not had to retighten , not even a little bit, and the soapdish, HAS NOT FALLEN OFF NOT EVEN ONCE!!!!! I thought my wall was smooth enough and wouldn’t need the disk, but evidentially it did need the disk, try the 3m disk, before you give up, it’s worth it. Note: make sure you choose exactly where you want it because the disk is not reusable if you remove it. You can however, purchase replacement 3m disk if needed . I like the soap dish and toothbrush so much that I may by another one of there items for in my tub surround.I purchased this to go with my Hasko toothbrush holder. I based my purchase on other customers reviews, obviously there were a few people who were not satisfied , but I am completely satisfied. I read the instructions a couple of times to make sure I would do it exactly right the first time. I removed the knob to make sure that the black suction cup was completely flat as directed and to make sure the sot was at the bottom of the cup/backplete. After deciding where I wanted the soap dish, I placed the suction cup with the backplate/cup over it, making sure that the slot was at the bottom, inserted the metal part of the soap dish into the slot. I put the know back on and while applying pressure to the cup/backplate and pushing in on the knob to create a vacuum, I turned the know until it was tight. Put the plastic part in the wire holder and it looks really nice, seems to be a very strong hold, of course time will tell. At this point in time I am very satisfied with my purchase. I forgot to mention this was on smooth tile board, that I cleaned with alcohol, made sure it air dried prior to installation, I did the same with the toothbrush holder. Doing this is in the instructions.Goodgood buyLike it, just wish the soap dish was a little heavier.. convenient thoworks well, looks good.I already had Husk corner suction shelves for my shower but I installed a soap holder from another provider that started to fail after a year. I decided to order this one since I have found that the suction system is very good since you can continue to tighten it up after a few days to make sure you maintain a strong suction. I also like the simple soap dish that comes apart for easy cleaning. So far, excellent product.The suction cup soap dish holder has held to a porcelain tile shower wall for a week now with no problems. I cleaned the tile carefully and then wiped it with isopropyl alcohol before attaching it. The soap dish holder has two parts that I find a bit difficult to separate for cleaning but it is the style that I wanted. It came with a small crack in the plastic of the upper part of the dish that I think will not affect performance.Attached this with the suction cup to a clean glass door panel in the shower, just apply a little pressure when you put it on and then start to tighten the know. You can re-check it once in a while and tighten the suction with the knob, have a couple of different styles and we are happy with them, won't work on tile or surfaces that are porous unless you want to use the adhesive mount which I don't like, leaves a mess.This is a great piece if only it would stay on the shower wall. Every few days it falls off I used the adhesive piece that came with it and it is worse with that. Better direct on the showrr.Works well and now our soap dish isn't taking up all the space on the shelf in the shower. I over tightened it at first and it fell after a few hours, but after reattached and not over tightening, it's been holding strong for weeks +
