It is not made with the same plastic as curtain liners.CONS: The marbled veins are not light grey, grey, dark grey or even black. I took a chance because most grey "marbled" curtains from other sellers had reviews about color being purple and unfortunately this seller has purple marbled curtains too. In my picture, the counter is a grey marble contact paper and in comparison the curtain is apparently and vividly purple marble. The material of the curtain is not thick or heavy but thin and light. It was just okay for occasional use in our travel trailer. It will need a liner as water can eventually come through it. I would not use it alone. For reference, I have other curtains from a big box store BB&B and those can be used alone as a curtain and a liner, but each one costs 3 times as much. I hope this review helps someone else.Beautiful color on this shower curtain. It’s thinner than I imagined but it is waterproof. I will be using a pvc liner behind this as it is thin.
